Greenbriar of Citrus Hills BOD Budget Meeting Minutes September 29, 2017
The meeting was called to order at 10:00 a.m. by Gerry Jones, President. Also in attendance were: Spiro Colivas, Bob Smith, and Nancy Deyeso. Megan Barker, CAM was also present from Villages Services. A quorum of the Board has been established.
Guest:
- Homeowners attended the meeting to review the Budget with the Board of Directors.
This meeting was called to discuss the 2018 Draft Budget proposed by VSC. Each line item was evaluated and increases in contracts and inflation were taken into consideration when evaluating the expenses for next year.
The Board discussed the following:
- The Copp unit and legal expenses paid for this year. This line item will be changed from $9000 to $4000.
- Insurance line item was changed from $110,509.95 to $111,400.00
- The employee’s salary was changed from $62,178.48 to $80,000.
- The bad debt will remain the same but will be lowered if needed in hopes to keep the maintenance assessment the same.
- The Oleanders that were recently installed are dying and the Board wants to know if irrigation should be added to that section.
- Garbage collection – the Board wants to lower the garbage pick-up to two days a week so the maintenance men can focus on other tasks that are at hand. This will be reviewed.
- Sign expense and Spanish Moss treatment need to be considered in the budget.
- The ADS contract will be reviewed for liquid damages.
With no other business to discuss, a motion was made by Spiro to adjourn the meeting at 10:45 a.m., seconded by Bob. Motion passed unanimously.
